My heart and soul lives to capture families in the comfort of their home. There’s something magical that happens because everyone feels more at ease and comfortable. It takes away the pretense of “getting pictures done” and settles us into a natural rhythm. You don’t need to have a perfectly style home, just like you don’t need a perfect outfit. My sessions are about capturing your family’s true spirit. Sometimes imperfect settings make for perfect photos.

what does an at home session look like? I’m unsure if my house is picture worthy...

I’ll gently nudge you into delicious pockets of life & allow the everyday moments to unfold, artfully capturing the essence of your family through my lens. By no means do we stay in one perfectly kept spot- give me your messy chaos to meander through. If time allows, we’ll overflow into your porch, yard, garden, a nearby special spot… wherever you all feel most at home is where we’ll be. Believe it or not, the best photos come from moments that happen naturally. I may suggest a few fun things to do together or gently guide a detail, but no stiff poses!

what are your sessions like? Do you tell us what to do, suggest poses, etc.?

I want to let our session unfold naturally so that I can authentically capture the beautiful truth that lies within an ordinary day. It needs to be long enough for us to sink into a rhythm, but not so long you feel depleted afterwards. We’ll get on the phone so that we can discuss what would work best for you. Maybe your family thrives over slow cups of coffee in the morning as the kids sleepily wake, or maybe everyone hits their stride in the afternoon and evening. We will tailor the session so that it makes sense for the details of your life. 

tell me about the long-form session- why so long?

I get it. Most people cringe at the idea of being in front of a camera for long periods of time- but that’s not what my sessions feel like. Our time together won’t be about creating beauty in a constricted timeframe with forced smiles and poses; it will be about finding the beauty that already exists as we move throughout a day together. I will be a gentle presence to softly document your day- I find the longer I’m present, the more space is created for raw beauty to shine.

but your sessions are longer than most photographers, and we don’t love being in front of the camera...

Any session within a 50 mile radius of Richmond Hill, GA is included in my price. If you fall outside that range in the lowcountry, a travel fee will be applied to your invoice to cover the cost of fuel. If you are inquiring for a session from farther away, please get in touch for further details and I will put together a travel proposal. I would love to travel to you and document this sweet season for your family!

What area do you service?

I will send an invoice for my creative fee ($300) that serves as a deposit to reserve your spot in my schedule. The remainder of your total is due the day prior to our session. I’m happy to offer interest-free payment plans- please inquire for more details.

how does payment work?

Yes! In fact, one of my favorite aspects of working together is helping the creative vision come to life. Once you have booked the session, I will send a detailed questionnaire to help me get to know your family better. From there, I’ll send my session guide which includes a personalized vision board, recommendations on what to wear (including links!), and my best tips for preparing for our session. I’m truly here to help you take the stress out of family photos!

do you help with planning?

Within three-to-four weeks of our session, you will receive access to an online image gallery (sneak peeks will be sent within the first week!) Your gallery will have the option to download web and print size images.. You will have access to the gallery for a full year. The number of images you receive is stated within the package details (though I’m a cronic over-deliverer!) If you’re interested in prints, creating an album or framed art from our sessions, I’m happy to assist you! Please reach out for additional info.
